3. Creating simple show

ScreenBullet show is very similar to the regular TV show. Show editor allows you to arrange assets on the canvas and timeline in the same way as you would do it in professional graphical tools. Depending on the asset type that you used, you can change different properties (such as transparency, volume, speed, etc.) and apply a number of effects.

To create your first show navigate to Shows tab and click Add icon:

Add show

You will see Show Properties window, where you can set basic properties of your show, like name, screen resolution, orientation (portrait or landscape), duration. If you are not sure about them – do not worry, they can be changed later.

Show properties

After accepting selected properties show edit tool should appear – place where you can mix your assets and other media sources, like YouTube:

Empty edit canvas

At first our show is empty – but adding new content is really easy. Just click on the one of icons at the left side of screen – first of them will add image, second will add video asset:

Image chooser

Just choose your asset and click OK. It will be placed on the canvas – now you can change its size and position. It will be also visible on the timeline in the bottom – as default it will be visible since the beginning to the end of the show.

You can add as many assets as you want, and set their position, size and start/end time. To change position, click and hold left mouse button on the asset and move it around. Sometimes you will see vertical and horizontal lines – it means that your asset is aligned to the center of screen or other asset.

4. Registering Web Player

To see the result of your work, navigate to http://player.screenbullet.com. It is web version of the ScreenBullet Player. It is the simplest tool to play your content – you need only web browser with Adobe Flash Player support to turn your device into media player.

Player Web

Enter your email and password, choose name to identify your player and click Assign. Hooray, your first player is now connected to ScreenBullet – yes, it is that simple!

Remember that ScreenBullet Web Player is excellent tool to start, but it lacks some functionalities compared to the Desktop Player.

5. Adding content to the Player

After registering Player, both Web and should appear in the Studio, on the Dashboard and Devices tab (if you do not see them, click on the refresh button on the Devices tab).

Devices list

Click on Select content button, and choose your show to assign it for this device.

6. Registering Desktop Player

As mentioned earlier, there are two versions of ScreenBullet Player - Web and Desktop. Desktop player has some advantages over Web version - it does not require a web browser and can cache your assets on the disk to save bandwidth. It, however, needs to be installed. This step might require administrator right on Player device.

To install Desktop Player, go http://get.adobe.com/air/, download and install Adobe AIR Runtime. You can omit this step if AIR Runtime is already installed on your Player Device.

After installing AIR Runtime go to ScreenBullet website - http://www.screenbullet.com/ - and choose Desktop Player Installation. It should start installation process:

Desktop Player download

Desktop Player - open and install

Confirm Desktop player install

7. Playlists

Group of shows is called a playlist. You can add, arrange and remove shows to/from the playlist. Such a group of shows can later be assigned to devices. Playlists are not limited in length.

To create playlist open Playlists tab and click Add button:
